Portfolio Flight Case

Ahead of this weeks portfolio surgeries (I have two, one with Alex Atkinson from the Consult, the other with illustrator Mark Howe) I have gone ahead and made a mock-up portfolio to display to them my intentions. I've designed and printed cover slides for five projects to get feedback on my display case idea. The folio is by no means finished. I didn't want to pay for loads of printing only to be told it was a bad idea, so I've put together a sample so I can gage their reaction and make any necessary adjustments. I already have a A3 printed portfolio and thought it would be more beneficial to put this together for feedback. 

The Case:

The contents is broken down into slides. Every project has a cover slide with project specific information on it and more slides behind it with either photo, illustration or physical work relating to the brief.   

Colour coordinated cover slides - they are 10mm taller than the project slides behind them to make it easy to see the separation between projects.

Publications are held in a protective slide of their own:

My favourite thing about this folio is the format of the slides - 12" LP is a great format to hold in your hands, portable and because they are not bound you can take out each project and lay it out on in front of you. 

We'll see how the feedback goes. I am imagining that a few good ideas / teeks will come out of the sessions. More folio development to come :)
